I have been coming here for years so I think I know a little bit about contemporary art and because the art I first saw is now not quite so contemporary, a little bit about, what I call late historic-contemporary art. Also I have seen several episodes of that Fiona Bruce programme with that ponce in a cravat so feel well placed to comment. The gallery itself is as wonderful as ever. A beautiful space. A joyful experience to walk around, with truly inspiring art coupled with works that a small child could knock out between tantrums. The gift shop and cafe areas have matured over the years and add to the overall experience. Very much worth a visit.

This is a wonderful and eclectic gallery. I hadn't heard of it before visiting so we wondered in by chance. The art was varied and interesting (not all to my taste but that's sort of the point). The shop has more than the usual art gallery bits and allows you to buy affordable art (some of it surprisingly well priced, some of it more expensive). And there's a lovely cafe which is the perfect place to end you visit. If you are in the area and like art, it's well worth a detour.
