Great attraction! Hope it is enlarged in future as excavation continues. Informative 7 or 8 minute film to begin then a self guided walk around and into the tunnels at your own pace. You'll be in and out in maybe 45 minutes at an easy pace.
Loved the Great Orme! Walked down to the church where you can sit quietly. Lots of information for entertainment all around. Halfway between is the caves that were found and the things that were found were dated to the bronze age. You can walk underneath the tunnel, obviously with a safety hat! Interesting!
The mines are located half way up the Great Orme and since the tram stops at this point for all passengers to depart we thought we would go the short stroll over to the mines. When you go through the main entrance you pay to enter the mine or if you wish just look around the delightful gift shop. Hard hats are located in a room just before you go in to watch an information video, once the 5 minutes video is over to exit the back of the room and stroll down to the mines, do make sure to wear your hard hat as once inside the mines there are low ceilings, I'm 4ft 11inch and had to keep my head down slightly at one point, kids enjoyed and found it interesting, my husband said the whole thing including going to the top of the great Orme was an unforgettable experience.
