Had to walk up like 3 floors to get to a cash machine then had to pay to take my money out. The bar downstairs is just aimed at oldies but didn't mind too much as the live show was okay tho the lead guy was annoying as hell. Went to use the toilets and it was flooded. Also sacked a very good friend of mine on the spot for serving 1 drink half price with there staff discount. Which is by all means the point of a staff discount. But oh well i wouldnt work or stay here
Visited just for the short weekend break. The hotel is very old fashioned but kept very clean. If you want to have a sea view you need to pay an extra tenner and upgrade to premier room. Otherwise you'll end up like us overlooking at someone elses room. The major problem was the heating constantly on! It was absolutely boiling!!! Couldn't turn it off.I felt like I've spent a night on a desert but major thing there was a constant smell of sewage in the room. Overall we've survived. Also decided not to eat anything in there as other guests warned us not to as it wasn't good at all.We have met some cool elderly couples and had a great night and a chat with them (and few drinks). At the hotel they do the karaoke party which was hilarious Overall we still had some great memories from that place to take home :-) so the place not a top thing but the elderly people we've met there made it amazing !
Good place to stay for a few days, position.. comfortable.. plenty going on for entertainment.Food reasonable.Staff helpful.
Not a bad hotel considering all the bad reviews on trip advisor. Room was clean, the bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked but the food was fine.Staff were courteous and polite.
I occasionally like to give places like this a try as theyre always more interesting than the usual brands of cheap places to stay. It was definitely cheap but that was about it.There was no where to park on arrival on any nearby road. Went into the town and parked there for a bit first and happened to see someone leaving on the way back. The parking outside, if you can get it, is fairly cheap and convenient for the hotel and the rest of Llandudno. The outside of the hotel is fairly grotty but in a charming old kind of way, if not a bit worse than I was expecting. The room reception and corridors etc were a bit scuffed up and old fashioned but not too bad. The room was small as it had been divided in two and the bathroom added. There was a strong smell of feet and mustiness. There wasnt an opening window only a door to a balcony which was sealed shut. The knob on the radiator was broken but thankfully it was off!The bathroom was unclean. There was someone elses toothpaste splattered up the mirror, the floor was grotty and there were mouldy patches. The bathroom cant have been refurbished for decades, which you might expect in this kind of place, but theres no excuse for it being dirty. The beds were worn out, the furniture was bashed and missing knobs, there was rubbish in the drawers and the TV said welcome to Premier Inn. Everything was dusty and grotty and was well overdue some money spending on it. There was an offer for three course dinner in the dining room. I popped my head in for a quick look but decided to give it a miss. Breakfast was alright theres some weird segregation where guests who had paid more get to sit behind a velvet rope and get a slightly better view. They got their breakfast from a different area but I think it was the same food. Llandudno its self was a great place to visit, especially as part of a trip around a few different areas so you can get the most out of them in a day or so and then move on. This hotel is shameful. I only heard about the company operating it being rated so poorly after Id been but it makes sense. I am sure some of the more expensive rooms might have been better but, even if the room is cheap, theres no excuse for it being stinking and filthy.
